This article will in of itself have Perfect On Page SEO, this is to should you that on page SEO can be done by anyone and that I can rank this article and prove that it works. This article will go thru all the proven settings that must be done in order to have perfect on page SEO.
Before you start to plan your on page SEO make sure that you’ve done the right kind of Keyword Research. Targeting keywords that have little to no traffic or doesn’t have buyers in the traffic is the best way to waste your time and get discouraged with SEO. Learning How To Get Backlinks comes after having Perfect On Page SEO and good Keyword Research.
On Page SEO Must Do’s
URL
Making sure that your URL has the keyword you want to rank for. For this article the keyword I’m trying to rank for is “On Page SEO” so my url will include it. The URL right now is http://www.SammyBlackstar.com/Perfect-On-Page-SEO. This is in the Top 3 things to look for in On Page SEO.
Meta Title
If you found this article through Google you’ll see that it was written as “PERFECT ON PAGE SEO – Sammy Blackstar.com”. If you check the source for this post you will also see it within the html you will see the keyword once again. Google has said that this is one of the most important factors in ranking for a choosen keyword.
Meta Discription
Usually directly below the Title of a ranking page in Google you will see a short write up about the page, this is the Meta Discription. Google will generate one if you haven’t written one yourself. It is importatnt to do it yourself so that you can tell visitors what your site is about as well as include your primary keyword in the description.
Meta Tag
Meta Tags are not as imporatnt as they used to be. A visitor will not see what you have tagged your page as but the search engines will. You want to add your primary and secondary keywords that you are trying to rank that page for to the Meta Tags. Don’t ever add Meta Tags that are not related, search enginges see this as spam. For this page I’ve chosen: On Page SEO
H1 Tag
H1 Tags are within the HTML of a page and usually will connect to the style of the website. It will make text larger so that it is seen as a heading. This is good for the readers but search engines also use it to sort webpages. It is always good to include your keytword at least once in an H1 Tag. If you look at the top of this article in the source code or right now you will see that ‘Perfect On Page SEO’ is within an H1 Tag.
H2 Tag
H2 Tag is just like a smaller version of H1, don’t repeat the first keyword. Try to be creative. I’ve put On Page SEO Must Do’s within an H2 Tag.
H3 Tag
H3 Tag is another header tag. I don’t always use this one but I will ALWAYS use H1 and H2.
3% Keyword Density Minimum
It is the concensus thruought the SEO Community that you should include your keyword at a density of at least 3% in your article. This lets the search engines see that your page is about the keyword you are writing about. I’ve included On Page SEO as reference throughtout the aritlce to make sure. Don’t be spammy with this and always think of what your visitors are reading about. Don’t stuff keywords into a passage to make up for poor writing.
Bold At Least Once
You should bold your keyword as it is writtin in your article at least once for effect and for SEO optimization. I like to bold my keyword in the opening introduction to the page/article.
SiteMap In Google Webmaster Tools
Sign up for Google Webmaster Tools and submit a Sitemap of your website. I won’t go through this process as Google has made it dead simple. Just Google “Webmaster Tools”.
Once you’ve done all of the above On Page SEO all you have to worry about is learning How To Get Backlinks to rank your page. Just send links that have the anchor text you wish to rank for and eventually you will get visitors.
